(ANSA) – RIO DE JANEIRO, 02 JUN – A 4-year-old girl was hit in the head by a bullet during a firefight between criminals and police in a ‘favela’ in Rio de Janeiro: little Alice Rocha was hospitalized in serious condition at dawn today at the Miguel Couto hospital, in the south of Rio, where she was operated on urgently. The shooting between narcos and agents took place last night in the Curicica slum, located in the west of the city. During the fight, a stray bullet wounded the girl as she walked out of an educational institution with her mother. The blitz in Curicica took place eight days after a similar police operation in Vila Cruzeiro, a slum in the northern part of the city in which 23 people died. (HANDLE).
