(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 02 – Queen Elizabeth will not attend tomorrow’s thanksgiving mass at London’s Saint Paul’s Cathedral, as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations: a decision made following a “malaise”: Buckingham Palace does know.
“The Queen enjoyed today’s Birthday Parade and Flypast, but felt a little uneasy,” the royal palace said in a statement. “In view of the travel and activities required to attend the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral tomorrow, her Majesty has reluctantly decided not to attend,” writes the royal palace. “The Queen looks forward to attending the torchlighting ceremony at Windsor Castle tonight and she would like to thank everyone who made today such a memorable occasion,” she adds.
