Citizens of Russia, which has been waging war in Ukraine for more than 100 days, when trying to issue an electronic permit to enter Mexico, began to receive refusals in Ukrainian. This happens on the embassy website when trying to submit documents. This is reported by the publication “Rise”.
The questionnaire with personal data on the website of the Mexican diplomatic mission includes the item “Citizenship”. Users who marked “Russia” in this column, after filling out the documents, received not a confirmation, but a refusal in Ukrainian.
The Mexican embassy said it was aware of the situation: the site for obtaining electronic visas belongs to the Mexican National Institute for Migration, and they are now working on a solution to the problem.
