(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, June 05 – Bad news for Donald Trump in view of his possible reapplication to the White House in 2024. Florida governor Ron DeSantis was the Republican’s favorite candidate in a straw poll for the second consecutive year , an informal poll, at the Western Conservative Summit in Colorado: 71.01% versus 67-68% for the tycoon. At a distance the others: Ted Cruz (28.73%) and Ben Carson (24.15%) – Also last year DeSantis beat Trump in the same poll, where voters are allowed to express more than one preference: 74% against 71%.
To agitate the tycoon another Yahoo poll, according to which in a possible revenge for the White House 42% of adults and registered voters would vote Joe Biden and 39% Trump, while 19% say they are uncertain. These figures are also comforting for the progressive party in view of Midterm: 38% of adults would vote for the dem candidate in the district where they live, against 36% who would support the Republican one (15% uncertain).
