(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 07 – Russia “is not humiliating us, it is killing us”. Thus Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky answered a question from the Financial Times about the words of French President Emmanuel Macron according to which to reach a ceasefire Russia should not be “humiliated”.
“I don’t understand what it means to ‘humiliate Russia’. Humiliate what? Are we talking about a long-term perspective? Or about the fact that for 8 years they killed Ukrainians?” Said Zelensky, also stigmatizing the attempts of some countries to reach a ceasefire in Ukraine “without listening to the position of our country and its leaders”.
