Usa: Trump staff asked for secrecy from fake Georgia voters

(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, June 07 – New, burning evidence in the federal investigation into Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the outcome of the presidential elections in some swing states.

Investigators from the justice department, CNN reveals, obtained an email in which the then president’s campaign urged a group of Republicans in Georgia to meet in secret and keep their goals hidden. The email was sent by Robetrt Sinners, who was leading Trump’s election operations in Peach State, on December 13, 20202, 18 hours before a group of so-called alternative voters (deemed illegal by the prosecution) gathered in the state parliament.

“I must ask you for total discretion in this matter, your duties are imperative to guarantee the final result (a victory in Georgia for President Trump) but it will be hindered if you do not have total secrecy and discretion”, the message reads. The email was acquired both by the House commission investigating the Capitol assault on January 6, 2021 and by the Georgia prosecutor who is investigating Trump’s pressure to overturn the vote in that state.
