(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, JUNE 08 – Bad evening for progressives in California and for Donald Trump in the primaries held yesterday in seven US states. In the Golden State, the country’s most liberal state, Democratic voters have sent a clear signal for a crackdown on growing crime: on the one hand, by removing San Francisco attorney Chesa Boudin (60% vs 40%), considered too lenient on the other hand by sending the billionaire real estate developer Rick Caruso, a former Republican supported by Elon Musk who has promised an iron fist against violence, to the ballot for the mayor of Los Angeles.
Caruso will have to contend with the liberal candidate Karen Bass.
In this last round of competitions Donald Trump had not given many endorsements but the candidates hostile to him did it.
