A draft law on the abolition of the recognition of Lithuanian independence has been submitted to the State Duma of Russia.
The author of the document was a member of the political council of the ruling United Russia party, deputy Yevgeny Fedorov.
The draft law proposes to “repeal the resolution of the State Council of the USSR dated September 6, 1991 No. GS-1 “On the recognition of the independence of the Republic of Lithuania”.

Fedorov explains this decision by the fact that the recognition of Lithuania as an independent state contradicted the constitution of the USSR.
“Taking into account that, in accordance with Article 67.1 of the Russian constitution, “The Russian Federation is the legal successor of the USSR on its territory,” the resolution of the State Council of the USSR No. GS-1 is subject to cancellation,” the deputy writes.
Note that Yevgeny Fedorov is the coordinator of the pro-fascist organization “National Liberation Movement” (NOD). The deputy is known for loud statements addressed to the West – that the Russian Federation after the collapse of the USSR became an American colony, that the singer Viktor Tsoi was an agent of the US special services and others.

Lithuania recognizes Russia as a terrorist state
On May 10, the Lithuanian Seimas voted to recognize Russia as a terrorist state. The Lithuanian Parliament unanimously supported the relevant resolution – 128 votes in favor.
In the resolution, the Seim stated that the Russian armed forces and mercenaries had committed mass war crimes on the territory of Ukraine, especially in the cities of Bucha, Irpen, Mariupol, Borodianka and Gostomel.
According to the document, the goal of the complete or partial destruction of the Ukrainian nation, its spirit is seen by killing its members by entire families, including children, kidnapping them, torturing, raping, including minors, mocking the bodies of those killed and tortured.
