(ANSA) – TEL AVIV, 10 JUN – New complications for the government of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid one year after taking office. After losing the majority in the Knesset and failing to vote on an important law, the coalition risks losing another deputy: Nir Orbach from ‘Yamina’, the premier’s party. Orbach has repeatedly said that he sees no possibility of the government going ahead under these conditions and if he were to leave the coalition the government would fall below the current parity of seats with the opposition.
Bennett – after a first face to face with Orbach yesterday – will return to see the dissident deputy on Sunday with the aim of resolving the differences. But the media reported that he is in talks with Benyamin Netanyahu’s Likud. (HANDLE).
