(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 13 – The Polish people are ready to defend themselves in the event of a Russian attack. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assured this today at the inauguration of a sporting event in Myszkow, in southern Poland. “If Russia were to attack Poland, the Kremlin must know that there are 40 million Poles ready to take up arms to defend their homeland,” Morawiecki warned.
The prime minister recalled that Poland has been “under Russian rule” for centuries and “does not intend to return to this lack of freedom. We reject their colonialism and their imperialism,” he added. (HANDLE).
