(ANSA) – ISTANBUL, 14 JUN – An Iranian boat carrying about 1 million barrels of crude oil has entered Venezuelan waters. This was reported by Reuters on its website, taken up by the Irna agency. This is the third tanker sent by the Islamic Republic, starting last month, as part of an agreement to bring Iranian crude oil to be refined in the South American country.
The shipment of the oil tanker comes in the days of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s visit to Iran, starting last week, during which a twenty-year cooperation agreement was signed between Tehran and Caracas in various sectors including energy. As part of the agreement, there is the shipment of the second Iranian-made oil tanker, called Aframax 2, to Venezuela. (HANDLE).
