The West handed over to Ukraine less than the promised amount of weapons. Experts observe problems with logistics and training, which makes it difficult to supply weapons. This may contribute to the feeling in the Russian Federation that it can win the war.

It is reported by the Financial Times.

Journalists claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in need of artillery shells, howitzers, tanks and long-range MLRS.

Analyzing open sources, it turned out that during the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders received the most tanks (270+) out of 500 requested, howitzers (250+) out of 1000, and MLRS systems (50+) out of 300.

According to Michael Kofman, lead Russia analyst at the CNA think tank in the United States, among the difficulties are problems with the supply of Western countries, the reluctance of some countries to supply weapons and the time required to bring weapons to the front for Ukrainian fighters to learn how to use them.

Such problems can make Moscow feel like it can win the war. Western disagreements over military aid and Russia’s success in the Donbas based on “brute force and heavy losses” among its own troops reinforced this impression.

The Pentagon spoke about the supply of weapons to Ukraine

Providing Ukraine with several HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems in the last tranche of defense assistance, this is just a starting point. The US will continue to supply whatever it takes to win against Russian aggression. This was announced by the US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kahl.

“We have completed the initial tranche of HIMARS systems, and as we speak now, Ukrainians are completing their training,” a Pentagon spokesman said.

According to him, the US defense department will soon expect the introduction of multiple launch rocket systems received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kal confirmed the US commitment to continue deliveries of these systems and munitions to Ukraine.

Earlier we said that Ukraine should get more heavy weapons from NATO countriesto counter the full scale war that Russia has unleashed.
