(ANSA) – ISTANBUL, JUN 16 – Sixteen journalists working with pro-Kurdish media have been arrested after an 8-day police detention at the anti-terrorism department in Diyarbakir, in southeastern Turkey. This was reported by the Turkish organization for freedom of expression Media and Law Studies Association (Mlsa) according to which four reporters were released on parole who, like the other 16, had been captured during a law enforcement raid on the their homes on June 8. It is not clear on which charges the court decided to validate the arrest for the 16 journalists. (HANDLE).
