(ANSA) – MADRID, 17 JUN – Over 3,000 people – including visitors and staff – have been evacuated to Spain from the Pui du Fou theme park (Toledo) due to the proximity of a forest fire. This can be learned from a press release taken up by the Efe and Afp news agencies. The decision, explained the park management, was taken as a precaution.
These days Spain is facing an unusual heat wave, a situation in which fires are being recorded in various areas of the country. Firefighters and other emergency services are active on various fronts, particularly in Catalonia.
In the area of the Pui du Fou park there are currently 12 air vehicles, 14 land and 86 effective, according to local authorities. (HANDLE).
