Seats open until 20 in the region of Andalusia where today we vote in the local elections.
Called in advance by outgoing governor Juanma Moreno, who has led a center-right coalition between the Popular Party and Ciudadanos since the beginning of 2019, the session will serve to renew the 109 members of the regional parliament.
Virtually all polls favor Moreno himself, who could approach the absolute majority. Ciudadanos is expected to decline sharply, while Vox’s far right is expected to grow.
Prime Minister Sánchez’s Socialist Party risks defeat.
Over 6.6 million citizens are called to the polls.
