(ANSA) – NEW YORK, JUN 20 – One dead and eight injured is the toll of a new shooting in New York City. The scene of the violence this time is East Harlem where a group of people who had gathered for a barbecue, probably to celebrate the new festival of the abolition of slavery (Juneteenth), was hit by gunshots. Seven men and two women were affected between them, aged between 21 and 42. The youngest was pronounced dead after being transported to hospital, the other eight people are in stable condition, police said. The killer is still on the loose, at the moment only a gun has been found. The motive for the shooting is unknown. (HANDLE).
