German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is afraid that a “spark of democracy” could spread to Russia, so the owner of the Kremlin is pursuing a policy aimed at the collapse of NATO and the EU.

He wrote about this in Twitter.

“Obviously, Putin is afraid that the spark of democracy might reach Russia. Therefore, he has been pursuing a policy aimed at the collapse of NATO and the EU for years. He wants to return to the policy of zones of influence. But he will not be able to do this.”Scholz wrote.

Peace on Putin’s terms is impossible

Germany rejects “world under dictation” on conditions unilaterally imposed by Moscow. Sanctions against Russia will remain in effect until the country reaches a fair agreement with Ukraine. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz following a trip to Kyiv.

He called “Putin’s illusion” the Kremlin’s expectation that Russia would be able to seize part of Ukraine’s territory and then wait for changes over time.

Scholz said that it is necessary to ensure that the Russian Federation abandons the plan to “seize part of Ukraine with the help of brutal violence” and its “imperialist concept of changing the borders of countries.”

We previously reported that Scholz encouraged Ukrainians with a statement on EU enlargement.

We also recall Scholz promised to definitely give Ukraine weapons, but there is a nuance.
