Iran, Israel plan to assassinate nuclear scientists thwarted

(ANSA) – TEHRAN, JUN 21 – The Israeli intelligence service (Mossad) planned to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists, but its agents were recently arrested in the south-eastern province of Sistan-Balochistan, the Zahedan prosecutor said , Mehdi Shamsabadi, quoted by the IRNA agency.

Iran announced two months ago that three Mossad spies had been arrested in the province for publishing confidential documents and information. “The Iranian intelligence forces monitored the activities of spies in several Iranian cities for eight months and eventually arrested them,” said Shamsabadi. “Based on numerous evidence, they had been commissioned by Mossad to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.” (HANDLE).
