The coordinator of strategic communication for the National Security Council, John Kirby, said in the briefing at the White House regarding the words of the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, that the two Americans arrested by Russia while fighting in Ukraine will not be protected by the Geneva Convention. “It is alarming that the Kremlin makes these statements whether they really think about them or are using them to provoke Biden and the United States,” he stressed.
