EU plans to discuss another package of sanctions against Russia

The European Union, within the framework of the seventh package of sanctions, will discuss setting a limit on Russian gas.
This was reported by Reuters, citing a source among European diplomats, reports the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Limiting or reducing gas imports from Russia is currently considered a sensitive topic, given the EU’s dependence on Russian gas.
Recall that immediately after the approval of the sixth package, Poland proposed to impose restrictions on Russian gas in the seventh.
Zelensky on sanctions
In his latest video message, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the energy pressure of the aggressor is an argument for the adoption of the seventh package of EU sanctions against Russia.
“In all negotiations, I constantly emphasize that the seventh package of sanctions of the European Union is needed as soon as possible. Russia must feel the constant increase in pressure for the war and for its aggressive anti-European policy. crisis – all these are arguments to agree on the seventh package of sanctions,” the President of Ukraine noted the need to continue pressure on the Russian economy.
