Explosions have thundered in two Russian cities today. The first is in the city of Talitsa, which is located in the Sverdlovsk region. The second one is in Ulan-Ude. Russian media write about it.

In Talitsa there was an explosion at a gas station. The explosion was so powerful that a huge ball of fire and smoke formed in the sky. The area of the fire was 70 square meters, as a result of the emergency, one person died, several people received burns.

As writes Interfax, in Buryatia, an accident occurred at the Gusinoozerskaya state district power station. A power plant caught fire in Ulan-Ude and neighboring Transbaikalia were left without electricity. Due to the fire, kindergartens, boiler houses, central heating points and pumping stations do not work. Also, because of the state of emergency, problems arose in a number of municipal districts of the republic. A power outage was also recorded in the neighboring Trans-Baikal Territory.

“At 14:42, a spontaneous damage to the transformer at the Gusinoozerskaya GRES occurred, which caused the shutdown of all power units of the power plant that were in operation. This, in turn, led to a decrease in the frequency of electric current in part of the power system and the automatic shutdown of one of the two operating power units of the Kharanorskaya GRES in the Trans-Baikal Territory. Restoration work is currently underway, and the operation of power units at both power plants is expected to be restored in the coming hours. There are no casualties as a result of the incident,” the statement said.

Recall that on June 22, in the Rostov region, after the “cotton”, the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery caught fire. The fire area is 50 square meters.
