Covid: study, vaccine saved 20 million lives in the first year

(ANSA) – NEW YORK, JUN 24 – In the first year of anti Covid vaccinations, 20 million lives were saved. This was revealed by a research by Imperial College London, an institute specializing in science, technology and medicine. In the United States, 1.9 million lives saved thanks to the vaccine in the first year.

On December 8, 2020, a retired English salesman was the first person ever to be vaccinated, in the following 12 months over 4, 3 billion people decided to get vaccinated. China was excluded from the research. Furthermore, the researchers highlighted that about 600,000 deaths could have been avoided if the target of 40% vaccinations had been reached by the end of 2021.
