Banners, colored balloons, music: shouting slogans against the war but also for the defense of the climate, several thousand people paraded through the streets of central Munich in protest against the G7 summit, scheduled for 26 to 28 June at the castle of Elmau, in the Bavarian Alps.
At the start of the procession that began on the esplanade where the Oktoberfest is held every year in the capital of Bavaria, according to the German police, about 3,500 people were present (initially at least 20,000 people were expected) but the demonstration will continue throughout the afternoon. The march, organized by 15 organizations for the defense of the environment and the fight against inequalities, from Attac to the WWF, took its first steps in a peaceful way and for the moment there have been no accidents.
