(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, June 26 – Americans’ confidence in the Supreme Court collapses after the historic sentence that annulled the right to abortion in the United States. According to a Gallup poll cited by the US media, only 25% trust the institution compared to 36% a year ago.
The previous all-time low for trust in the Supreme Court was 30% in 2014, a year when trust in major US institutions overall hit rock bottom, averaging 31%. Over the past 16 years, American support for the highest court has generally plummeted: from 1973 to 2006, the average was 47 percent. (HANDLE).
