(ANSA) – LONDON, June 28 – The Scottish independence first minister Nicola Sturgeon raises the challenge to the London government on a second referendum for secession by announcing the presentation of a local bill to the Edinburgh Parliament for the convening of a vote ” advisory “to be held in accordance with its intentions on October 19, 2023.
The referendum is expected to repeat the same question rejected in 2014. The announcement was made while Queen Elizabeth is in Edinburgh and despite the British central government of Boris Johnson, which on paper should approve, has repeatedly evoked its veto. (HANDLE).
