(ANSAmed) – BELGRADE, JUN 29 – Montenegro remains a responsible and reliable ally within NATO, which has reaffirmed its unshakable support for Ukraine. This was stated by Montenegrin president Milo Djukanovic in a tweet from Madrid where he participates in the summit of the Atlantic Alliance.
“Strong messages of unity and determination at the Madrid summit. Defense of allied territories and Euro-Atlantic values remain the crucial mission of the Alliance”, added Djukanovic, according to whom “the Union of Free Democracies is enriched with two new members : Finland and Sweden “.
Montenegro, a country of the former Yugoslavia engaged in the EU accession negotiations, joined NATO in 2017.
