(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 01 – A commemoration ceremony was held at the Embassy of Italy in Dhaka, Bangladesh, for the Italian victims of the brutal terrorist attack of July 1, 2016. The Director General for Italians at the foreigner of the Farnesina, Luigi Vignali, accompanied by the Ambassador of Italy in Dhaka, Enrico Nunziata, placed a wreath of flowers on the plaque commemorating our nine dead compatriots.

Six years after the tragedy of the Holey Artisan Bakery “we want to express once again the profound closeness of the Italian institutions to the families of the victims – said Vignali -.

We will always remain by the side of the many compatriots who promote our country abroad and we will continue to honor the memory of those who have dramatically lost their lives there. At the same time, Italy renews its commitment in the fight against international terrorism of any kind, a fight that we share with the authorities of Bangladesh “.
