The Russian Ministry of Defense spread a fake – the Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov allegedly arrived in Ukraine. According to the Telegram channel Nightingale litter, the department published a video about the visit of the general, but the Russians were shown a photo two months ago
According to the video metadata, the photos shown in the video about Gerasimov are dated May 5.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not report in which direction or sector of the front the Russian general allegedly was.
What is known about Gerasimov’s visit to Ukraine
Not so long ago, Gerasimov visited the occupied Izyum of the Kharkov region. He was going to command troops in the Donbass.
On the same day, it became known that a strong explosion occurred in the area of u200bu200bthe headquarters of the occupiers and the general allegedly died.
Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Viktor Andrusiv confirmed the information that Gerasimov really came to Izyum, but whether he was injured during the explosion, he does not know.
