Cate Blanchett produces a documentary about Kharkiv

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 06 – Cate Blanchett, actress and UNHCR goodwill ambassador, has produced a documentary on the Russian war in Ukraine. “Ukraine: Life Under Attack: Dispatches” about life in Kharkiv under the bombs. Ukrinform reports it.

According to the creators, “it is the story of the battle of Kharkiv, told through the eyes of the civilians and rescuers who suffered the brunt of the Russian assault,” reports Vogue Ukraine.

The documentary, available on the Channel 4 Plus website, lasts almost an hour. Its main characters are the firefighter Roman and his team who saved the city from the fires caused by the explosions as well as the paramedics Tetiana and Iryna who also helped people who remained in hiding for several months by hiding from attacks. The documentary features children forced to live underground to avoid being hit by Russian missiles.

She is not the only Hollywood star who talks about the war in Ukraine: Sean Penn has also been to Kiev twice to shoot a documentary on the conflict. (HANDLE).
