(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 07 – The Farnesina is following with the utmost attention the tragic story of little Andrea Mirabile, a minor who died in Sharm el Sheikh on Saturday 2 July.
The Italian Embassy in Cairo and the Honorary Consulate in Sharm el Sheikh, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, immediately got in touch with the competent local medical and judicial authorities, who opened an investigation following of the death and ordered an autopsy on the child’s body, at the request of the parents.
The Embassy and the Honorary Consulate constantly follow the medical course of little Andrea’s parents, assisting Mrs. Rosalia Manosperti already discharged from the international hospital of Sharm el Sheikh, where Antonio Mirabile is still hospitalized at the moment.
The Embassy and the Farnesina are also committed to ensuring, as soon as possible, the return of the compatriots to Italy and the prompt repatriation of the child’s body. (HANDLE).
