Local police chief Nonhlanhla Kubheka added that 11 injured were taken to hospital, where the other two people Lt. Mawela spoke of died of their injuries. No information about the attackers has been released so far. “They came and shot people who were having fun,” said Kubheka, commander of the Orlando Police Station, the Soweto neighborhood where the tragedy occurred.
