Throughout the night of July 11, a Russian A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft paired with fighters flew over Belarus. The pilots discussed the visibility of targets for attacks on Ukraine.

This was reported by the monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun”.

“For the first time since April 4, the Russian AWACS A-50 and fighter jets were lifted into the sky over Belarus. No missile launches were recorded,” the report says.

So, according to the monitoring group, on July 10, at 22:50, an AWACS A-50 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces took off from the military airfield in Machulishchi. The task of this aircraft is to provide coordinates to fighter pilots for strikes against targets.

Throughout the night, the A-50 flew in circles from Baranovichi to Slutsk, while changing altitudes from 9150 m to 9700 m. The aircraft finished work only at 04:39 and landed at the military airfield in Machulishchi at 05:10. Thus, the net time in the air was 6 hours 20 minutes.

In addition to the A-50, fighters took off throughout the night, working in shifts with the A-50 in pairs at altitudes from 7,000 to 8,000 meters.

“During the work, the pilots of the fighters discussed with AWACS the visibility of targets for strikes on the territory of Ukraine,” Belarus Gayun notes.

Recall that in the last week, the movement of Russian military equipment on the territory of Belarus has been increasingly recorded. It became known that Russia is pulling equipment to the border with the Chernihiv region. New satellite images of the Zyabrovka military airfield near Gomel in Belarus have emerged, showing an increase in the number of S-400s, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.

After that, the Ukrainian border guards reported that they were mining dangerous sections of the border with Belarus.
