(ANSA) – MANCHESTER, 12 JUL – Labor, Britain’s largest opposition party, today announced the formalization of a no-confidence motion in the House of Commons against the outgoing Conservative government of Boris Johnson. The vote on the motion is expected tomorrow. With this move, Labor leader Keir Starmer, who is calling for Johnson’s immediate resignation even as prime minister, without waiting for the election of a new Tory leader in his place, expected for September 5, aims to embarrass the majority party of facing the eventuality of where to recompose to give a facade of confidence to an already outgoing premier.
