General Gb: ‘Rumors about Putin diseases are only pious illusions’

LONDON – The rumors circulated several times about the health problems of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the possibility that he will be killed are only “pious illusions”, while the regime in Russia remains “relatively stable”. The chief of staff of the British armed forces, General Tony Radakin, told the BBC. Repeatedly since the invasion of Ukraine alleged reports have been circulated by Western intelligence services that Putin, who will turn 70 in October, was ill. Instead, several media have speculated that he may be ousted from power by his own followers, who are unhappy with the situation in which the country finds itself, especially because of Western sanctions.
“As military professionals – added Radakin – we see a relatively stable regime in Russia, President Putin has been able to stifle any opposition and no one at the top has the motivation to challenge him”.
