(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 18 – The clothing chain H&M has announced that it will exit the market in Russia, under sanctions for the invasion of Ukraine. This was announced by the Swedish multinational Hennes & Mauritz.
The Swedish clothing giant had already suspended its sales in Russia last March, shortly after the start of the Ukrainian war. Today the announcement of the gradual exit from the country.
“After much reflection, we find that it is impossible to continue our business in Russia, given the situation,” said the general manager of the Swedish group, Helena Helmersson, in a company statement.
