(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 25 – Tesla’s boss, Elon Musk, denied having had an affair with Nicole Shanahan, the wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin. The denial, writes the BBC online, came after the Wall Street Journal reported that his friendship with Brin had ended due to the alleged flirtation.
Musk’s reply arrived on Twitter, where he called the news “totally false”. Tesla’s boss then claimed that he was still friends with Brin and that “they were at a party together last night!”. “I’ve met Nicole twice in these three years and always with other people around. There was nothing romantic about it,” he added.
Citing some sources, the Wall Street Journal claimed that Musk had a brief relationship with Shanahan late last year. This prompted Brin to file for divorce in early 2022, ending the longstanding friendship between the two billionaires. At the time of the alleged relationship in December, Brin and his wife were separated but still living together, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cites a person close to Shanahan.
Although they have signed a prenup, Brin and Shanahan are currently negotiating a divorce settlement that could go up to $ 1 billion, according to the WSJ. (HANDLE).
