(ANSA) – ISTANBUL, 25 JUL – Reaching an agreement on nuclear power depends on the US. The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, reported the agency Irna, adding that Tehran has not left the negotiating table and will continue the talks until a good and strong agreement is reached.
“If the US acts in a positive and constructive way, the agreement can be close,” added the official of the Islamic republic.
Since November 29, Iran, Russia, China, Great Britain, France and Germany have been engaged in talks for the relaunch of the nuclear pact reached in 2015 also with the United States, which subsequently withdrew from the agreement by decision of former American president Donald. Trump. The negotiations have stalled since March and an attempt has recently been made to reopen the table in Qatar.
The US and Iran did not have direct talks but only an exchange of messages with the intermediation of the European Union.
