Future EU: Prague will send questionnaires on reforms to capital

(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, JULY 26 – The current Czech presidency of the EU is working on a questionnaire intended for the governments of all the member states, to find out when governments are in favor of continuing on the path of reforms inaugurated with the conclusion of the Conference on the Future of Europe. It is when ANSA learns from sources within the presidency.

In order to take up the baton of the reforms in the relay race launched by the participatory democracy experiment wanted by the EU institutions, the questionnaire will deepen the vision of each capital on any changes to the treaties necessary to implement the reforms, such as overcoming unanimity on the subject of foreign policy or creation of a common European defense, indicated by legislators and citizens.

According to the Presidency, the questionnaire will be distributed to Member State delegations during the summer in order to follow up in writing the discussion already opened at the informal meeting of the General Affairs Council on 15 July.
