Ukraine: Unicef, in Odessa 27 aid trucks for 50 thousand children

(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 27 – Unicef ​​has delivered 27 trucks loaded with life-saving aid to Odessa for about 50,000 children in the war-torn districts of southern Ukraine.

Supplies include water purification equipment, sanitation facilities and supplies to prevent diseases from a lack of clean water and sanitation, which are particularly dangerous for vulnerable populations. About 110,000 people will be assisted with filters and chemicals to provide clean water, and hygiene kits will help keep 50,000 children healthy.

In addition to the city of Odessa, this aid will also be delivered to regions close to the fighting, including Mykolaiv, which has been subject to heavy bombing in recent weeks.

In addition, the supplies will help improve the living conditions of internally displaced families and children, many of whom fled the war-affected districts in Odessa. (HANDLE).
