(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 30 – Moscow is recruiting thousands of volunteers across the country to beef up the armies to fight in what Russian President Vladimir Putin has called the ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine.
From Murmansk, in the Arctic Circle, to Perm, in the Urals, and to Primorsky Krai, in the Russian Far East, an appeal has been made for both patriotism and Russian wallets and military experience is not always required, writes CNN. online.
In total, according to analysts, more than 30,000 volunteers could be mobilized to supplement the Russian ranks impoverished by five months of fighting mainly in the eastern Donbass region, where most of the volunteers will likely be sent. (HANDLE).
