(ANSA) – DNIPROPETROVS’K, 02 AUG – During a surprise visit to Kiev, the Polish Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman in Office, Zbigniew Rau, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the visit, which was also attended by OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid, Rau recalled “OSCE’s commitment to Ukraine on its way to security and stability”.
Despite the general evacuation and the blocking of the renewal of the OSCE presence in the country due to the Russian veto in the Permanent Council, the secretary general informed the Ukrainian presidency of the intention to launch “25 projects, based on trust partnerships between states members and using the valuable experience we have acquired over the past three decades of presence “.
