Lavrov and Cavusoglu, implement the Istanbul agreements on wheat

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 03 – The developments in Ukraine and the wheat export agreement were at the center of today’s meeting between the holders of Russian and Turkish diplomats, Sergei Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu, on the sidelines of a meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers in Phnom Penh. “There has been a wide exchange of views on the international and regional agenda, mainly on the situation in Ukraine”, the Russian Foreign Ministry quoted by Tass said in a note.

The ministers “discussed the implementation of the package of agreements reached in Istanbul on 22 July on the transport of Ukrainian cereals from the Black Sea ports and on the promotion of Russian exports of food and fertilizers,” the ministry added.

“The question of Syria was also discussed”, the statement underlined. (HANDLE).
