(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 06 – “One of the reactors of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia, under the control of Russian forces, was shut down, yesterday’s bombing caused a serious risk for the safe operation of the plant”: Ukrainian atomic energy company Energoatom said today, following the attacks that Kiev and Moscow accuse each other of having launched.
“Following the attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the emergency protection system was activated on one of the three functioning reactors, which shut down,” Energoatom announced in a message on Telegram. (HANDLE).
