Syria: NGO, 4 people killed in Turkish air raid in the north-east

(ANSAmed) – BEIRUT, AUGUST 09 – Four people were killed today in northern Syria by a Turkish air raid. This was reported by the National Observatory for Human Rights in Syria, according to which the attack, carried out with a drone, took place in Qamishli, the capital of the semi-autonomous region in north-eastern Syria controlled by the Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) .
There is currently no information on the identities of the victims, nor is it possible to specify whether they are civilian or military.
In recent days, Turkey has intensified air and artillery attacks against PKK positions in the western and eastern sectors of the border with Syria.
And this after the last meeting in Sochi between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyep Erdogan, Moscow and Ankara agreed to ease the Turkish military presence in the central sector of the border. (ANSAmed).
