(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, AUGUST 09 – “I would like to express my firm condemnation for the latest bombings carried out in and around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which caused significant damage to infrastructure, including in the vicinity of the dry fuel storage nuclear exhausted within the perimeter of the nuclear power plant “. EU Energy Commissioner Kdri Simson declared this, underlining that “the information obtained from EU radioactivity monitoring systems and international sources does not indicate any increase in radioactivity in Ukraine or the EU or any immediate threat of radiation”.
