Use: trial for shock photo of Kobe Bryant incident begins

(ANSA) – NEW YORK, AUG 11 – The trial for the shock photos taken by the LAPD after the helicopter crash in 2020 in which Koby Bryant, daughter Gianna and seven other people died. Vanessa Bryant, who started the lawsuit two years ago, believes that the shots would have committed an invasion of privacy as the agents would have shown the photos in contexts not related to an investigation, such as in a bar for example.

Bryant’s lawyer said those photos were shared for ‘a laugh’. Vanessa herself was present at the opening of the trial, in tears according to the New York Post. For her part, Los Angeles County argues that ‘the mental and emotional wounds’ were not caused by the photos but by the fatal accident itself. It is estimated that the process should take about two weeks. A nun was among the members of the jury. (HANDLE).
