Kiev, Latvia good on Russia, ‘example for other states’
(See ‘Parliament of Latvia,’ Russia was sponsor … ‘at 10:54 am) (ANSA) – ROME, 11 AUG – “Thanks to the Latvian Parliament, Saeimas, and to all its members for recognizing Russia as a sponsor state of terrorism. A timely move: Russia has long deserved this status with its actions in Ukraine and beyond. Ukraine encourages other states and organizations to follow suit “: the Ukrainian Foreign Minister writes on his Twitter account , Dmytro Kuleba, commenting on the adoption by the Riga Parliament of a resolution declaring Russia a “sponsor state of terrorism” and according to which its actions in Ukraine constitute “a targeted genocide against the Ukrainian people”.
