(ANSA) – TUNIS, AUGUST 11 – The number of corpses recovered at sea yesterday after the latest shipwreck off the Tunisian islands of Kerkennah rose to 8. The bodies of 3 women and 3 children, a source of security confided to the Tap agency, were added the corpses of another child and a man.
There were about thirty on board a boat that left Tunisia and sank in Kraten, about three miles off the coast of the Kerkennah islands, in an attempt to reach Italy. Twenty people were rescued by the Coast Guard, which is continuing its operations in search of any other survivors. (HANDLE).
