(ANSA) – TUNIS, AUGUST 12 – The Tunisian Coast Guard blocked five new migration attempts, intercepting 82 people in the night between Thursday and Friday. “As part of the fight against irregular migration, the units of the National Guard of the north, center, south and coast thwarted” the departures of migrants and “rescued” or “intercepted” a total of 82 people. a note from the Ministry of the Interior of Tunis.
Four “rescue” operations at sea involving 76 migrants aboard various boats, and another “preventive” on land in the Gabès and Sfax region concerning “the arrest of 6 people”.
