CAIRO – Forty-one people died in the fire of a Coptic church in Cairo. The fire, caused by the electrical failure of an air conditioner that would have caused an explosion during Sunday mass, according to the Egyptian Interior Ministry, broke out in the Abu Sifine church in Imbaba, in the governorate of Giza.
The Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has ordered all health services and care to be provided to those injured in the fire.
